The Children’s Place would like to highlight Howdie Inc. as our Friend of the Month
We are so very grateful to the entire Nugent Family for their continued and unwavering support - from our first small little house on Talkeetna Street to our new facility on Lucille. Todd has offered his skilled staff to help us with projects and maintenance, ensuring the repairs and projects are done correctly and efficiently.
We would also like to recognize Howdie Inc.’s Superintendent Scott Parker for donating his time and expertise to many of our projects. Scott has volunteered countless hours helping The Children’s Place with maintenance, repairs, project-planning and troubleshooting. Scott always answers the phone with a friendly “How’s it going buddy?” and has been incredibly flexible to accommodate our schedule. Scott is a true hero - instead of a cape he wears a tool belt! Scott, like Howdie Inc, can and will make anything work.
Howdie Inc. generously provided one of the largest gifts to our capital campaign for our beautiful new facility and has continued to provide expertise when we have a need. They have unfailingly continued to support our fundraisers, specifically our annual Gala, by generously underwriting the event, purchasing tables, and participating in auctions throughout the events. We are truly blessed by their dedication and generosity!
With Howdie Inc.’s generous help over the years, children who have been abused or severely neglected can come to our child-friendly facility and begin their path to healing. We provide a safe place for children and their protective caregiver to access services specific to their case and needs.
We are grateful for Howdie Inc.’s support and would like say that, without community support from people like the Nugent family and their business, we would not be able to provide specialized intervention to children and their families. You truly make a difference and we appreciate you! Thank you for all you do for children in the Matsu Borough.
